Shan Masood was born on October 13, 1989, in Karachi, Pakistan. He is a left-handed opening batsman and is known for his technique, consistency, and ability to score runs at the top of the order. He started his domestic career in 2008, representing various teams such as the Khan Research Laboratories, Sui Southern Gas Company, and United Bank Limited. He also captained the Pakistan A team and also played for Pakistan in the Emerging players tournament.
He made his international debut for Pakistan in 2013 in a Test match against South Africa. Since then, he has represented Pakistan in all three formats of the game, including Tests, ODIs, and T20Is.
Shan Masood has been a regular member of the national team and has played in several series against major cricketing nations such as South Africa, England, Australia, New Zealand and Sri Lanka. He is considered as one of the best opening batsman of Pakistan cricket team and has a reputation for being a solid and reliable top-order batsman.
